Scheduling
All inspections should be scheduled a minimum of 24 hours in advance. The most efficient way to request an inspection is through the online permit portal.
However, you may also call our office and speak with a staff member (434) 392-8465.
Voicemail and email inspection requests are not accepted.
Required Inspections
When a building or trade permit is issued through our online permit portal, the required inspections for your project will be listed on the permit.
You may also request other inspections that have not been listed.
Work being inspected should be fully complete by the time of inspection; please schedule accordingly.
Reinspection Fee
If a specific inspection fails twice, a $30.00 reinspection fee will be assessed. This fee must be paid prior to scheduling a follow-up inspection.
